In addition to your unique training in order to reveal the six pack abs that is hiding underneath, you have to start from losing your stomach fat. As a rule 10% body fat or less for men, and 16-18% body fat for women.</p>
<p>Instead of spending time on isolating your abs (making hundreds of crunches, leg raises, and all kinds of abs specific exercises), you will need to follow full body workout program which will include (squats, deadlifts, lunges, upper body presses and pulls, dumbbell swings, snatches, etc. This workout program will evoke a better metabolic response and raise the fat burning hormone levels in your body.</p>
<p><b>Some of the best abs exercises that I recommend doing are:</b></p>
<p><b>1. Front Squats with Barbell </b></p>
<p>Done similar to back squats but with barbell in front of your body. This exercise requires extreme stabilization strength from the abs. Even though this is mostly leg exercise, you will feel your abs on this one big time.</p>
<p><b>2. Renegade Dumbbell Rows</b></p>
<p>Starting in a pushup position with the hands on your dumbbells then you row one dumbbell up while stabilizing your body with your next arm. Next bring the dumbbell back to the ground and alternate the rowing arm. This exercise is great for entire midsection core area.</p>
<p><b>3. Mountain Climbers </b></p>
<p>Start in a pushup position and then shuffle your feet in and out so your knees are moving in and then back out to starting position. It is like climbing a mountain but flat on the floor.</p>
<p><b>Do 3-4 Sets of 8 Reps for Each Exercise</b></p>
<p>After finishing each exercise rest for about 30 seconds before starting the next one. Rest about 1-2 minutes after finishing a set. Now you have the best ab workouts you&#8217;ve ever had.</p>
<p><b>4. Diet</b></p>
<p>One of the most important aspects of a diet that creates a lean body are getting enough quality fiber, protein, and healthy fat intake at most of your meals. Try to maintain a reasonable balance of protein, carbs and fat and limit foods such as refined starches, refined sugars, hydrogenated oils (trans fats), processed oils such as soy and corn oil, and excessive alcohol.</p>
<p>Use unprocessed organic foods, as close to their natural state as possible. Fruits and vegetables (lots of them). Moderate amounts of high quality protein at each meal. Well, they can&#8217;t be more wrong than that! You see, it is your mindset to be blamed for not having a flat stomach with fabulous 6 pack abs or at least this is what some scientists and researchers think.</p>
<p>Is it difficult to lose your pot belly and to get a flat stomach? Certainly not although many people do think otherwise. You see, losing the fat in your stomach area is a boring process. It definitely requires time, hard work, and most important of all, a firm commitment and dedication. There is no other magical formula even though some late night commercials want you to think otherwise.</p>
<p>If you take the correct steps every single day, I guarantee that you will ultimately carve out your six pack abs. However, if you stray away from your flat stomach plan even a few times a week, you will probably never see your stomach flattened. I can bet my last dollar on this unless you have some medcial condition.</p>
<p>So how can you get rid of the fat in your midsection? Well, I will show you some habits which you must develop to get your abs to show. Individually these habits are no big deals but when put together, they become a powerful tool to lose your belly fat. This is because the effectiveness of this method is supported by science.</p>
<p>At the University of Iowa, researchers found that most people are more likely to stick with their weight loss programs when they concentrate on specific actions instead of the desired end result. So rather than focusing on getting a flat stomach, just dilligently follow this daily list of nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle strategies for achieving that ripped flat belly with rock hard stomach muscles.</p>
<p>a) Do drink lots of water first thing in the morning. This is because you have had no water for at least the last 8 hours when you sleep which is precisely why you should start rehydrating immediately when you wake up from your snooze. Scientists found that by doing this, your metabolism shoots up by about 24 percent for 90 minutes or thereafter. They also noted that if you drink only a smaller amount of water, then it is not effective at all.</p>
<p>Another study found that muscle cells grow faster when they are well hydrated. So isn&#8217;t it sensible to guzzle lots of water over the course of a day. Do take note that I said water, not soda or coffee. Just good old fashioned plain water!</p>
<p>b) Never skip breakfast! Skipping breakfast is a cardinal sin if you want to lose stomach fat. A study at the University of Massachusetts showed that men who skip their breakfast regularly are 4-5 times more likely to have bigger tummys than those who eat their breakfast dilligently. So quickly have a meal and a protein shake first thing in the morning.</p>
<p>Do you know that researchers found that breakfast size is inversely related to your waistline size? Bet you don&#8217;t as it is surprising information, isn&#8217;t it? But it is true! It is well documented that the larger your breakfast, the leaner your midsection will be!</p>
<p>Of course you must add some common sense to this and keep the meal&#8217;s size within reasonable limit. A 1,500 calorie meal at a fast food restaurant is really two or even 3 breakfasts, therefore limit your breakfast to just about 500 calories.</p>
<p>At the University of Iowa, scientists also found out that people who monitored their diet and exercise goals most frequently are more likely to achieve them than people who rarely review their goals.</p>
<p>Everybody have abs muscle. You cannot see your awesome abs is because they are concealed beneath the layer of your tummy fat. This is good news indeed because it meant that you need not do endless sit ups and leg raisers to carve out your six pack abs. In fact, sit ups and leg raisers are lousy exercises to get ripped abs and may even injure you, but that is for another article.</p>
<p>So this being the case, you should spend most of your time in the gym burning off your body fat instead of wasting your time with ineffective exercises like situps and leg raisers. The most effective exercise strategy then is the combination of weight lifting with compound exercises and high-intensity interval training commonly known as HIIT.</p>
<p>According to another study by the University of Southern Maine, half an hour of pumping iron burn as many calories as running at a 6 minute per mile pace for the same duration. Furthermore, by pumping weights, you have the added benefit of building muscles and muscles burn more calories 24 hours a day.</p>
<p>What is even more interesting is that unlike aerobic exercises, lifting weight has been shown to boost metabolism for as long as 40 hours after you leave the gym! That makes you a natural fat burner!</p>
<p>Similar findings have been noted with exercises using HIIT method, which are short, all out powerful sprints interspersed with periods of lower level cardio activities. This will burn pounds and pounds of belly fat and give you that flat stomach look over a period of time.</p>

But, in everyday speech it is referred to via a variety of names, including abdominals, stomach muscles, abs, tummy, and stomach. The abdominal muscle is a long, flat muscle that stretches from the pubic bone to the 5th, 6th and 7th ribs. It helps flex the spinal column and stabilizes the body&#8217;s trunk during your daily leg, arm and head movements.</p>
<p>While many people refer to this in the plural (i.e., &#8220;abdominal muscles) in reality the rectus abdominis is just one muscle. However, it is divided vertically down the center by a tendinous sheath called a white line (linea alba).</p>
<p>Similarly, the muscle is divided by another set of tendinous sheathes horizontally in three places. This set of dividers is what gives very fit athletes the familiar (and much-sought-after) washboard stomach.</p>

<p>1. Bicycle Crunch Exercise:<br />
<br />To do the bicycle crunch properly, first make sure to clear some space around you to avoid kicking anything over. Lie down so that your back is against the ground. Interlace your fingers behind your head and bring your knees up into the air at an angle (just like you are riding your bike while lying down). Now, start &#8220;riding your bike&#8221; by bringing your knees up to touch each of the respective elbows on either side of your body.</p>

To do this exercise, start by getting yourself into the chair by stepping on the foot stands at its base. Start with your legs pointing straight down. Slowly bring your knees up toward your chest, then back down again. Repeat!</p>
<p>3. Ab Crunch on an Exercise Ball:<br />
<br />This one requires one of those soft exercise balls. You can get one for $10 to $20. Here&#8217;s how it works: sit on the ball and then let it roll back until it&#8217;s under your back. Then, just contract your abs like you are doing sit ups on the ground. Careful not to bring your body to sharper than a 45 degree angle.</p>
<p>4. Vertical Leg Crunch:<br />
<br />Start this one like you would the bicycle crunch (see above). Instead of bending your legs at the knees in a 45 degree angle, bend them just slightly so that they are almost straight. Then, while looking upward, raise your shoulders into the air, then lower again. Repeat.</p>
<p>5. Long Arm Crunch:<br />
<br />Lie back as if you are about to do traditional sit ups. Now, put your hands above your head while clasped together. While looking upward, raise your shoulders off the floor, pointing your hands toward the sky or ceiling.</p>
<p>6. Reverse Crunch:<br />
<br />Lie on your back, again as if you are about to do regular sit ups. Place your hands on the floor next to you. Slowly raise your hips off the ground.<br />
